Michael R. Marron is a civil trial and appellate lawyer whose practice covers a wide spectrum, including aviation, tort and products liability, employment disputes, commercial and property litigation and insurance coverage, including bad faith matters. He has handled Federal False Claims Act cases representing whistle-blowers and represented plaintiffs in securities fraud and conversion actions. He has tried more than 30 jury trials to verdict or judgment, innumerable court trials, and handled scores of appeals. In addition to his trial and appellate practice, Mr. Marron serves as Neutral Evaluator and Mediator for the United States District Court, Northern District of California, and hears and presides over cases as Judge Pro Tem, Settlement Judge, Arbitrator and Mediator for the San Francisco Superior Court. He also acts as Arbitrator for and is a member of the Executive Committee, Attorney Fee Disputes and Law Firm Dissolutions, for the Bar Association of San Francisco.
Mr. Marron has served as a Lecturer in Law at Hastings College of Trial Advocacy and as a panelist in seminars presented by California Continuing Education of the Bar, by the American Bar Association Section on Litigation and by the New York Law Press Seminars. Since 1998 he has participated as a faculty member in Stanford Law School's Advocacy Skills Workshop.
Mr. Marron is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, the Association of Business Trial Lawyers, the American Bar Association and the Bar Associations of the State of California and San Francisco, and the San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association. He is a Life Member of the Fellows of the American Bar Foundation, has served on the San Francisco Lawyers Committee for Urban Affairs and was a Director of the Neighborhood Legal Assistance Foundation, the California Board of Legal Specialization and the Committee on Maintenance of Professional Competence. He was President of the Barristers Club of San Francisco in 1968 and First Vice President of the Executive Council, California Conference of Barristers.
